OUR PROCESS

Editorial policy

Our goal is to help readers make informed choices from documented public sources — not to imply hands-on testing we did not do.

What We Check

For a review or comparison, we look at advertised features, plan limits, price and renewal terms, privacy information, safety controls and content restrictions. We check provider documentation and public policies. We do not create accounts or pay for the apps covered here.

Research, Not Routine Hands-on Testing

Claims on AdultNerds are based on official pricing and privacy pages and other documented public sources. We do not claim routine hands-on testing. When a detail cannot be verified from public sources, we say so rather than inventing a result.

Picks and Updates

We do not publish ranked lists yet. When an article suggests an app for a specific need, it explains the criteria and tradeoffs rather than pretending there is one best tool for everyone. Affiliate payouts play no part in those picks. Features, pricing and terms change; we correct errors when brought to our attention and update dated information as we verify it. An article's date alone does not guarantee that every external detail is current.

How We Score

We have not published editorial scores yet. If we add them, scores out of 10 will combine four criteria taken from official pages and documents: free access, pricing transparency, privacy terms and cancellation ease. They will not be based on hands-on tests, affiliate payouts will play no part in them, and each score will show the date it was last reviewed.

Commercial Separation

Affiliate links may fund the site. A brand cannot pay for a positive verdict or guaranteed placement in an editorial list. We disclose links in relevant articles. Read the affiliate disclosure or send a correction.
